At the beginning of the scene we have the villain at a shrine the editing technique used here is a black and white filter to creat a eery sense to the clip.
Flashbacks play a big part in our opening as they help create the audience picture the storyline.

We will also use a lot of shot reverse
shots in our opening to show the interview between the detective and Olivia.
Also using a filter when we are going
into a flash back will help it become blatant that we are in or entering a
flashback.
We have a shot verse shot when the detective and the victim are in the lounge we used this to keep the sense of continuity and show both characters faces and expressions.
We used quite a lot of clean cutting in our scene as this helped uplink in scenes with others and keep the sense of continuity.
We also had a fade effect to show the elapse in time between the villain at the shrine and the detective walking towards the house this empahsises the juxtaposition between the two different clips.
We also added our production company title sequence in there to show that it is a new line cinema production.
