We first had the idea to show the victim being followed by the attacker but this was too hard to achieve when filming and it didn't fit in our scene very well.
Because we filmed one of our scenes in the evening the change on day was noticeable and we had to discard this clip and re-film it again
We were then going to get our attacker looking through the victims window this shot was hard to get without revealing the attackers real face, also we came to the conclusion that the shot wasn't convenient for the opening scene as it gave too much away too early on.
We originally were going to have two detectives, however all of our friends were busy with their studies. We consequently decided to have just one detective as we thought it would have a better effect, and also it made it easier to rely on characters taking part. Also this would bring greater attention to the characteristics of the character playing the role of the detective.
