Costume/Props

We also used the costume of suits for our detective to give help the viewer realise that he is a detective. The suit also make the detective  look very smart and you can tell straight away that he is important and seems to take pride in making good first impressions and his costume help emphasis his personality. Because he has a brief case this connotes that he is there to take a statement or notes on a incident that involves the home owner.

This is what we expect the detective to be wearing. Smart, formal and sophisticated clothes to indicate importance.

We have our victim in casual wear as his helps create that homey feeling as she is just a normal girl relaxing at home and shows the audience this character is very laid back and her costume reflects her personality and characteristics

We have the villain wearing a hoodie this helps protect his identity and helps keep the audience intrigued to what the villain looks like or who the villain is. When he is at the shrine made up of the victims photos we thought it would be a good idea to use the candle lights to show he is worshiping the pictures and that the viewers must pay attention to the picture and the shrine created.

We have a lot of photos of the victim to show that she is the victim and that the villain hooded man is obsessed and this helps the audience draw up a storyline. Because we were influenced by se7en we noticed they used a lot of photos of their victims and of their evidence so we thoug it would be a good idea to use it also.

We also have a lot of tools on the table when the villain is repeatedly writing the victims name over and  over again the lighting in this scene helps create suspense and because the villains identity is still masked it draws the audience in to the photos, tools, pieces of paper on the table.
