Introduction of Characters and Sterotypes

Villain

The villain is introduced with no specific identity. Only brief showings of the villains eyes. This creates a sense of mystery and creates and enigma to the audience. Stereotypicly the villain isn't shown in thrillers so the audience are always enticed. The villain is seen to be a outcast, and strange character, this is an unusual to the audience and is a change to storyline.

Victim
The victim is first shown in her house, this shows that maybe she is trying to stay safe. She first looks vulnerable as if she is expecting something bad or has been in distress. She is a quiet character which makes her look like she is in surrounded by danger. She is blonde which also is a representation of a stupidity and sterotypicly shows a lack of intelligence.

Detective
The detective is first shown pulling up in his car. He is driving an Audi which indicates he has power and wealth, it also indicates job security. He is a tall black male character who is dressed in a sophisticated manner. He looks like a dominant character who takes pride in his job. He has similarities to the role Morgan Freeman played in Se7en. He                        speaks with a dominant tone which shows that he means business and takes his job seriously.
