New Line Cinema is one of Americas largest and most influential film studios. Founded in 1967, by Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne who was a film distributor. Starting off initially as an independent film studio, it then went on to become a subsidiary of Time Warner in 1996 and was then merged with Warner Bros in 2008. New Line Cinema produced its first film - Stunts in 1967, an action/thriller. Since producing this film, they have produced mainly action/thrillers .
New Line Cinema has produced huge films which have generate enormous profits, films such as - Hall pass, Sex in the city and the Lord of The Rings trilogy. Its produced many horror/thrillers, such as: Final Destination, Texas Chainsaw massacre, and a film that has largely influenced us, se7en.
New Line Cinema stands out for us as it is a well established company, which has a highly recognizable brand which will catch the eye of the public. In addition we believe this production company has the experience to ensure the success of our film. Also we feel it fits in with the genre of our film, as it has produced successful thrillers.
